We visited two historical places in Diyarbakır.

Burnt Bazaar

Due to the great fire he experienced in 1914, he is known as The Burnt Bazaar (Kurdish: Charshia Shewiti).

It was also part of the old "Wheat and Sypahi" market, whose founding date is unknown.

There are shops selling jewelers, spices, traditional clothes.

Historical The Grand Mosque

The Grand Mosque (Turkhish: Ulu Cami) is a historical mosque in Diyarbakır.

One of the oldest mosques of Anatolia. Although the construction date is not known for certain, they converted the Mar Thoma Church into a mosque after the Muslims conquered Diyarbakir around 630 AD.

The Grand Mosque is the most sacred 5th temple for Muslims. And it is still used by Muslims for worship.

There is a sundial in the courtyard of the mosque, which is said to be made by the famous Islamic engineer Al Jazari.
